The STEAME Teacher Facilitators Academy consortium is proud to announce the publication of its Policy Recommendations for STEAME Teacher Academies, developed within the framework of the project and aimed at supporting the transformation of education systems across Europe.
These Policy Recommendations provide a comprehensive and forward-looking framework to guide the development, implementation, and sustainability of STEAME Teacher Academies, positioning them as key drivers of innovation, inclusion, and educational excellence.
Structured around eight core priority areas, the Policy Recommendations focus on:
- Curriculum and pedagogical reform through interdisciplinary and project-based learning
- Teacher training, certification, and continuous professional development
- Governance, policy alignment, and sustainable funding
- Digital transformation and innovation in education
- Investment in infrastructure and resources
- Student engagement and motivation
- Equity, inclusion, and accessibility
- Collaboration with industry and community partners
By placing teachers at the centre of change and promoting a holistic, competency-based approach to learning, the recommendations aim to support education systems in becoming more inclusive, future-oriented, and responsive to societal challenges.
As part of this initiative, the STEAME Academy also provides accessible versions of the Policy Recommendations to support dissemination and uptake across Europe.
